City of Fayetteville Planning for Temporary Water Shutdown

As part of ongoing construction by Beaver Water District, there are three planned shutdowns of Fayetteville's water transmission lines over the next couple weeks to connect new infrastructure to the existing system. Customers should continue to have several hours of normal water service during each shutdown.

The City of Fayetteville is asking residents to voluntarily limit water usage, if possible, from March 25-27 and April 4. While the water supply shouldn't be impacted on those dates, the request is designed to ensure adequate water is available in case planned work on water lines takes longer than expected.

This should have little to no impact on most faculty and staff members, but researchers and others who may normally use larger amounts of water should consider a plan of action for these dates.
