Razorback Student Camping for Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday
Students representing the Associated Student Government are partnering with several campus departments (Student Affairs, Office of Student Activities, UAPD and Athletics) to manage the oversight for students wanting to camp before the Arkansas vs. Alabama football game on Saturday, Oct. 1.
All students who have purchased a Razorbacks All-Access Pass and have received a game ticket for Arkansas vs. Alabama within 48 hours of kickoff are eligible to participate in the camping event. Camping will allow students priority access to the Trough, the student section, in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for that game.
The camping procedures issued by the U of A in previous football seasons will be in place for the Arkansas vs. Alabama game on Saturday, Oct. 1.
Camping activities and those who participate in them must abide by any and all University of Arkansas System, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and State of Arkansas applicable laws, policies and procedures. These procedures have been put in place in order to ensure the safety, security and well-being of students, the university community and the public, as well as safeguarding and preserving all university property and facilities.
Of specific note, the following must be followed:
- Pre-registration via Hogsync for camping will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, and last until noon Friday, Sept. 30.
- Please note that pre-registration does not reserve you a place in line. It is available so students can check in with more ease at the designated time. You do not need to pre-register; you may register your tent upon arrival.
- Camping will be permitted at Gate 17 for student entry to the game starting at exactly noon on Friday, Sept. 30. Tent space is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Campers may register up to 10 campers per tent. Names and student ID numbers for all campers must be provided for registration to be complete. All campers must show they have received a ticket to the game.
- Campers must register (or check-in if pre-registered) with staff at the registration table located on Stadium Drive near the stairs to Gate 17. All registered campers must be currently enrolled U of A students.
- Check-in will end at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, and campers cannot set up after that time. Failure to do this could result in their spot being lost. Camping registration will close at that time.
- All registered campers must attend their scheduled classes, drills, labs and other academic commitments during the camping period. Camping is not an excuse to skip class, miss a test or submit an assignment late.
- One person from each tent must always remain with the tent. If a tent is left unattended at any time, the tent may be removed by the university. Through the tent registration process, campers will be asked to provide two tent captains' names and telephone numbers. These individuals will serve as the contact persons for their registered tent.
- Tents and other camping equipment must be removed by 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. The full tent party must be present by 10 a.m. to secure their rightful spot in line. Failure to remove tents by this time may result in loss of their spot in line and/or removal of their tent and other campus equipment.
- Cutting and other forms of saving spots will not be tolerated, and violators will be asked to move to the back of the line. Students who witness cutting or saving spots are asked to report it to student affairs staff or ASG student marshals accordingly.
- Tents or equipment must not be affixed to university property. Tents must not be staked into the ground. Building, driveway, street, parking lot and stairway access must not be blocked or compromised from entry/exit.
- University electrical outlets must not be used.
- Grilling, cooking, heating or any use of open flames is strictly prohibited. Generators that emit gas or fumes are not permitted.
- The campus noise ordinance must be followed.
- There will be designated restroom areas located in the camping area in the form of Porta-Johns.
- Every tent is responsible for disposing of trash properly. Campers should bring trash bags to collect trash at their campsite. Trash must be disposed of in receptacles provided by the university or event organizers or sponsors.
- All policies outlined in the U of A Code of Student Life apply.
- Alcohol and tobacco use is prohibited.
- Non-adherence to these restrictions may result in loss of camping and/or ticket privileges.
Seating and Admittance to Stadium for Alabama Game
Camping students will receive numbers indicating their position in the line for admittance when they register their group. Students who camped will enter the stadium in the order in which they camped. After all campers have been admitted to the stadium, non-camping access pass holders with game tickets will be admitted.
Students who are participating are strongly encouraged to review the Razorback Fan Code of Conduct as well.
