She began her role Jan. 11.

"In the short time Yusra has been with us, she has already become a valuable asset in this leadership role," said Sova McCabe, dean of the School of Law at the University of Arkansas. "The position builds on her expertise with content generation, search engine optimization, and strategic planning. The perspective her experience provides will raise awareness of the School of Law to build its national reputation, recruit students and faculty, and support our internal and external outreach.

Sultana holds international distinction in English Literature from the University of Cambridge. She graduated summa cum laude from Lahore University of Management Sciences and Minnesota State University with a bachelor's degree in English. She will earn a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas in July 2021. She is a current Lawrence Preo Fellow with Council of Alumni Association Executives, chalking out a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for international alumni in the aftermath of a global pandemic.

Sultana has worked as a journalist and editor for over five years, giving voice to marginalized communities across the world. Her primary beats have been culture, crime and law. She also served as manager of digital marketing and media, assisting global clients with web writing, digital accessibility and search engine optimization. Prior to joining the School of Law, Sultana worked in marketing and membership for the Arkansas Alumni Association.

"Yusra has established herself as a superb communicator with a high level of experience with integrated communication strategies and a talent for creative marketing. We are delighted to welcome her to the School of Law team to amplify the school's programs, initiatives, and accomplishments," said Tory Gaddy, director of development and external relations for the School of Law.
