FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is open for a six-week, evening program that provides essential tools and skills for people who want to set themselves apart in supplier and retail job markets.

Supplier Career Fundamentals, an intensive and interactive program offered by the University of Arkansas Global Campus and 8th & Walton, addresses Walmart Fundamentals, Retail Link, Retail Math, supply chain, e-commerce and supplier relations. Retail Link tools are used by many suppliers for Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The program is set for 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 18 through Aug. 24. Participants will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Arkansas.

The deadline is Friday, July 7, for participants to register online. The cost is $999, and the program takes place at the Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 S. Market St., Suite 402.

Trained instructors with more than 100 years of combined experience with large retailers ensure that participants complete the program with a deep, working knowledge of the tools and systems necessary to success.

Founded in 2006, 8th & Walton provides solutions-based advisory services, classes and training for suppliers for Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. The name refers to the intersection of the two streets where the Wal-Mart home office is located in Bentonville.

The program is one of many workforce development opportunities offered by the Global Campus in Rogers. The website showcases other professional development, skilled-trades training, and continuing education opportunities.
