Blackboard Learn Unavailable During Upgrade May 28

A message from the Global Campus

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Blackboard Learn will be unavailable for up to 24 hours on Saturday, May 28, while Blackboard corporate technical support performs system upgrades. Maintenance on learn.uark.edu will begin at 5:30 a.m. that day.

This upgrade falls within the three-day window when students do not have classes – between the close of Summer Intersession, May 27, and the start of Summer First 5-week, 8-week, and 10-week sessions, May 31.

There will be slight changes to the Blackboard Learn environment including:

  • Thread-to-thread navigation in Discussion boards – Users will be able to navigate to the next or previous thread in a discussion from the Thread Detail page without having to navigate back up to the Discussion Forum page.
  • Announcement date restriction default – When creating an announcement, "Not Date Restricted" is now selected by default.

The Help Desk is available Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m. Assistance is available in person at Gibson Annex on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
