2014-15 ASG Election Voting: Starts March 10

The 2014-2015 ASG elections will begin at 9 a.m. March 10 and run through 4 p.m. March 13. Students elected will hold office through the 2014-15 academic school year. Elections will consist of:

  • ASG Senate
  • ASG Graduate Student Congress
  • ASG Executive Officers

All University of Arkansas students are eligible to vote via vote.uark.edu or paper ballot in the office of student activities, Arkansas Union A665. In addition, ASGJ will host a voting station in the Arkansas Union Living Room area from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 10, 11, 12, and 13, as well as in the Graduate Lobby of Ozark Hall during the same times and dates mentioned above. Students will need to bring their student ID card for verification.

“ASG Elections are the one way that students can directly influence how our university is run. I urge all students to exercise their right and privilege to vote in this election,” said ASGJ Elections Commissioner Jeff Martin.

Students wanting information on the various candidates can visit asg.uark.edu and read candidate platforms. Any student who is enrolled in at least one credit hour is eligible to vote.

The Associated Student Government acts as an organized voice for all students at the University of Arkansas, by representing students in the University‘s decision and policy making process as well as providing a broad educational experience for students while promoting citizenship on campus and in the greater community.
