The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Arkansas is a community of adults over 50 who explore intellectual and cultural topics of interest. OLLI offers over 100 courses per year for its members on academic topics including art, history, current and local events, international affairs, government and politics, philosophy, and the social sciences.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers instructors an opportunity to teach adults who have a passion for learning and academic exploration. OLLI courses are non-credit, with no grades or assignments. Instructors are able to share their knowledge and experiences with members who enjoy learning for its own sake. These unique students truly appreciate their courses and the expertise of those that teach them.

Instructors are needed for OLLI courses during the 2013-2014 academic year. Course scheduling is flexible, ranging from multi-day courses to single-lecture topics. Current and past course descriptions can be seen at the OLLI program website. Potential instructors are encouraged to share their interests with OLLI staff and members through course proposals. The OLLI program then selects those courses that are most aligned with the needs and interests of members for inclusion into its semester catalog. Preference is given to those who have significant teaching experience.  Instructors are paid a stipend, although most generously donate all or a portion of their compensation back to OLLI.
