The Alexis "Ali" Arguello Service Award is a prestigious honor bestowed each year upon a senior student majoring in supply chain management who has demonstrated exceptional service to others. This award is a tribute to the memory of Ali Arguello, a senior studying supply chain management in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, who passed away suddenly in 2016.

Isabelle "Izzy" Artnak, an honors student at the U of A, is the recipient of this year's Ali Arguello Service Award. Majoring in supply chain management with a finance minor at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, Artnak has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to serving others.

Artnak's dedication to service manifests in various impactful ways. She currently serves as a General Mills Campus Ambassador, referees soccer with the National Federation of State High School Associations, is the vice president of membership for Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence as well as executive treasurer for Women in Finance.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Artnak's volunteer work speaks volumes about her character. As a member of the Volunteer Action Center, she participates in the yearly event, Make a Difference Day, and has assisted the Potter's House warehouse in organization to provide access to affordable goods. Her four-year tenure as a Kindergarten teacher at Chase Oaks Church further underscores her dedication to nurturing and educating young minds, providing a positive and supportive environment for children.

"I am so grateful to represent the legacy of Ali Arguello and her commitment to uplifting those around her," said Artnak after being notified of the recognition. "I wouldn't be here without the support of my family, friends, faculty and supervisors who have supported my endeavors as a young professional. As I approach my senior year, I'm looking forward to advancing the Arkansas campus through investing my time into the next leaders and inspiring joy to others wherever I go."

"In every role she undertakes, Izzy exemplifies the qualities that defined Ali Arguello's life — selflessness, dedication and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on her community," said Brian Fugate, department chair for the J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management at the U of A. "Her achievements and unwavering commitment to service make her a deserving recipient of the Ali Arguello Service Award, honoring Ali's legacy and inspiring others to follow in her footsteps."
