Annual Programs Director to Chair International Conference
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Susan Neyman, director of annual programs and gift services in the office of university development at the University of Arkansas, is the chair of an international conference hosted by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The conference, Successful Annual Giving: New Insights and Proven Techniques for Practical Application, will take place Nov. 26-28 in New Orleans. The conference will convene more than 200 participants representing educational institutions both public and private post-secondary, as well as independent and K-12 schools.
“Chairing a conference at this level is an extraordinary opportunity for me as a representative of the University of Arkansas,” Neyman said. “A faculty of nationally recognized professionals in the field has been assembled to share their fundraising expertise. Topics ranging from employing diversity strategies in the fundraising profession to preparing successful annual fund mailings will be covered. I look forward to learning from the best and the brightest in the field of fundraising. Year after year, this conference proves to benefit attendees beyond their expectations and helps them to advance in their careers. I am grateful to be in a position to provide opportunities like this for my peers and for myself.”
Neyman oversees the annual fund and other associated university annual programs such as the class gift, Chancellor’s Society and the campus faculty and staff giving program. She manages the Women’s Giving Circle, which she was instrumental in establishing. She also oversees the gift services department. Previously, she worked in academic affairs in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. She is a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals northwest Arkansas chapter and serves on the programs committee.
Neyman, a three-time University of Arkansas alumna, received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from the Sam M. Walton College of Business and a doctorate in higher education administration from the College of Education and Health Professions. She has presented at numerous CASE conferences earning the distinction of faculty star for ranking among the top 10 percent of all CASE faculty as indicated by presentation evaluations.
