Your hearing is vital to your overall wellbeing. In recognition of National Protect Your Hearing Month and Audiology Awareness Month, the U of A is offering free hearing evaluations to all enrolled faculty, staff and students this October at the Epley Center for Health Professions. A simple evaluation can highlight how hearing health impacts your social, emotional and cognitive well-being.

By offering these free hearing evaluations, the U of A aims to:

  • Raise awareness and highlight the importance of hearing health to encourage proactive steps towards its preservation.
  • Provide accessible care by offering a convenient and NO-COST opportunity for our campus community to understand their current hearing status.
  • Empower informed decision by providing individuals with valuable information to make informed decisions about their hearing needs.

Our qualified audiologist will conduct a comprehensive, non-invasive hearing screening. What to expect during your free hearing evaluation:

  • A brief review of your hearing history
  • Visual inspection of your ear canal
  • Pure tone audiometry

The entire process is quick, comfortable, and will provide you with valuable insights into your hearing health.
