The U of A is proud to announce the continuation of its Summer Music Camps, set to take place from July 7-19. Celebrating more than six decades of excellence, these camps offer a unique opportunity for musicians of all levels to enhance their skills and broaden their musical knowledge.

The Summer Music Camps cater to a wide range of musical talents, offering specialized programs for Junior High Band, Senior High Band and Junior/Senior Orchestra. The Junior High Band Camp, scheduled from July 7 to 12, is tailored for players completing grades 6 to 8 in spring 2024. Following this, the Senior High Band Camp will run from July 14 to 19, welcoming players completing grades 9 to 12. Concurrently, the Junior/Senior Orchestra Camp will take place from July 14 to 19, inviting string players completing grades 6 to 12.

"Our Summer Music Camps have been a cornerstone of musical education for over 60 years," said Kim Jones, director of the U of A Community Music School. "We are thrilled to continue this tradition of excellence and provide young musicians with a nurturing environment to develop their talents."

Participants in the Summer Music Camps can expect a comprehensive curriculum designed to improve performance skills and expand musical horizons. The camps boast a team of instrumental specialists, including nationally recognized artists, teachers and conductors, who are dedicated to fostering the unique talents of each participant.
