Testing Services at the University of Arkansas successfully completed a recertification process this summer by the National College Testing Association. The association provides certification to ensure that test centers operate under professional standards and procedures for all types of testing.

Yassaman Mirdamadi, director of Testing Services at the university, said the certification provides benefits to students. "By promoting quality test administration services for students and community members, we ensure that our center offers the best opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge," Mirdamadi said.

The U of A Testing Services was NCTA-certified in 2016 and completed recertification in July 2021. Rachel Hample, NCTA president, congratulated the Arkansas staff, adding that "the criteria for NCTA certification and recertification are rigorous."

According to the NCTA website, Test Center Certification shows that a test center operates under "the highest accepted standards and procedures" for all types of testing. Standards include policies and practices to improve honesty, integrity and validity of tests and results.
