The U of A Bands invite all students, regardless of major or instrument, to audition for a fall 2026 concert band. Two ensembles will be offered, each available as one-credit-hour courses offered through the Fulbright College.
Wind Ensemble
Meets M-W-F, 12:55-2:15 p.m., Chris Knighten (MUEN 1691, 2691, 3691, 4691, 4861 and 5691)
Wind Symphony
Meets M-W-F, 12:55-2:15 p.m., Chase Jones (MUEN 1461, 2461, 3461, 4461, 4661 and 5461)
In-person auditions will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, and Sunday, Aug. 16, in the Epley Band Building.
Brass and woodwind instrumentalists will play two short prepared excerpts, two major scales and a short sight-reading selection. Percussionists will play brief excerpts and sight-reading. Instruments are available for the semester to any enrolled student at no cost.
