Updated COVID-19 Related Sign Templates Available for Campus
Updated signage with the latest COVID-19 safety guidelines for campus is available for download and use on all campus buildings. Facilities maintenance crews are working to remove the previous signage.
New safety guidelines went into effect on campus Monday that make masks and social distancing optional for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The new campus guidelines are aligned with updated guidance announced by the Centers for Disease Control last week.
Please contact your Building Executive if you have older signs in need of removal and replacement with updated COVID-19 signage to ensure compliance with posting guidelines.
Individual departments should not make separate signage plans for their buildings. Building Executives have been designated as the primary point of contact for the posting of signage in their respective university facilities.
FOR POSTING SIGNAGE
- Use only removable mounting tape, such as Command-brand Mounting Strips, or removable painter's tape, such as Scotch-brand Delicate Surface Painter's Tape.
- Do not use other types of tape, pushpins or glue to post signs.
- Do not mount to sheetrock, plaster, wallpaper or fabric covered walls.
- Do not mount signs in direct sunlight. Adhesives tend to break down in high temperature.
- Mount to glass windows or doors whenever possible.
- Mount to wood or metal trim only with approved adhesives.
- Adhesives should be removed and re-applied every 60 days
Building executives should refer to the signage placement guide when deciding where and how to place signs on campus.
