Most of Registrar's Office Moving to Uptown Campus in June

The Office of the Registrar will soon be adding a second location to serve a broader range of students both on and off campus. During the first week of June, a significant portion of the registrar's office staff will be moving from Hunt Hall to an additional location at the Uptown Campus. While this is where the core of the office's operations will be located, an office will remain in Hunt Hall 146 to serve students who need assistance with registering, requesting transcripts, applying to graduate, transferring credit, and any of the other services provided by the office.

"Over the past few years, the registrar's office has made concerted efforts to implement more online services for students," said Dave Dawson, associate vice provost for enrollment services and registrar.  "Many students may never have to come to the registrar's office, but for those who do we hope they will benefit from having another location on the north side of town. For many it may be more convenient, and the parking is free."

The Uptown Campus is located at 1083 Saine St., just south of Panera Bread Co. Other departments at this location include BASIS (the administration information system), Spring International, Pre-College Programs, and ISIS (the student information system).

"The new location for the registrar's office will allow it to work more effectively and efficiently with the ISIS team while still maintaining the great service the campus has come to expect with students now having the option of two locations." said Suzanne McCray, vice provost for enrollment. "This move will also allow Silas Hunt Hall to expand its welcome center and to create additional space for the Transfer Central Office."

The registrar's office is expected to be fully moved and functional at Uptown by June 10. All office services will continue to be provided during the transition, though some delays may be experienced as phones and equipment are moved. The new campus mailing address for the office will be UPTE 141J. Mail will continue to be received at HUNT 146 as well.
