Executive Vice President at Kraft Foods to Speak about Minorities in Corporate America

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Paula A. Sneed, executive vice president of global marketing resources and initiatives for Kraft Foods Inc., will speak to faculty, staff and students about minorities in corporate America. Sneed’s visit is sponsored by the Office of Minority Affairs at the Sam M .Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.

Her presentation will be held at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in the Reynolds Center Auditorium on the University of Arkansas campus.

In 2005, Sneed was named executive vice president for global marketing resources and initiatives for Kraft. She is responsible for worldwide leadership and oversight of marketing resources, including consumer insights and strategy, media, advertising, digital and consumer relationship marketing, packaging and brand design, consumer promotions, marketing alliances, kitchens, consumer relations, and other marketing disciplines for more than 100 major food brands.

Sneed joined General Foods Corp. in 1977 as an assistant product manager before General Foods merged with Kraft. In August 1990, she became senior vice president of the company’s Foodservice Division and was named executive vice president and general manager of the Desserts Division one year later. In 1995, she became a senior vice president of Marketing Services.

In 1999, she was named to the additional post of chief marketing officer, where she was responsible for delivering world-class marketing across all of Kraft’s marketing disciplines with approximately $1.5 billion in spending annually.

Sneed is a trustee of Simmons College, Teach for America and the Chicago Children’s Museum, and a director for Airgas Inc. and Charles Schwab Corp. She is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council and The Chicago Network.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Simmons College and an Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. She has also received an honorary doctorate of business administration from Johnson and Wales University.
