The Sexual and Relationship Violence Center (SRVC) and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) have partnered to launch The Hill Haven, a new initiative that expands confidential, easily accessible support for students.
The Hill Haven offers students a private, welcoming space to meet one-on-one with a victim advocate and a CAPS counselor for brief, solution-focused consultations. The program provides an additional pathway for students seeking resources, guidance or next steps related to sexual assault or relationship violence—all within a safe and judgment-free environment.
Students can stop by the SRVC every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. The center is located in the Garland Avenue Center Shops (GACS), Suite 113, and services are offered on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis.
Consultations at The Hill Haven are intentionally brief, giving students space to ask questions, explore support options and determine what feels right for them moving forward. All services are completely confidential and provided at no cost to students.
The Hill Haven complements SRVC's ongoing work to support victims and survivors through advocacy, education and trauma-informed care. Students also may connect with SRVC at any time outside the walk-in hours for additional support.
To learn more, visit srvc.uark.edu or email survivor@uark.edu. SRVC hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. After hours, volunteer victim advocates are available for acute situations by calling SRVC at 479-575-4000.
