Campus Performance Review Cycle Set to Begin

Performance reviews for staff members will begin launching in Workday soon. All reviews must be completed by managers no later than March 31. Performance reviews for senior administration, faculty, coaches and graduate assistant positions will continue to be done outside of Workday.

The Workday task for performance reviews will be assigned to either the staff member (to complete the self-evaluation step, if required) or directly to the supervisor (to begin the performance review). Decisions about whether to require self-evaluations for employees are made by unit leaders in collaboration with their HR Partner.

To assist supervisors with the performance review process, Human Resources is offering virtual training sessions through Zoom on the following dates:

These sessions will cover best practices for initiating and completing performance reviews. A question-and-answer period will follow the training portion of each session.

For questions about completing performance reviews, please contact your HR Partner.

Performance and Talent Management at the University of Arkansas: The University of Arkansas is assessing its performance management practices as part of a strategic initiative under the Employer of Choice pillar. While performance reviews for the 2025 calendar year (completed by March 31, 2026) will follow the same process used in previous years, the university anticipates significant updates to performance and talent management as a result of this work. Additional information will be released as the university continues its evaluation with Segal, a third‑party human resources consulting firm, throughout the year.
