Financial Foundations Certificate Program Launches This April

The Office of Financial Affairs will host the newly redesigned Financial Foundations Certificate Program this April, offering a comprehensive learning experience for campus employees who work with financial processes and systems. The updated program, formerly known as the Accounting Certificate Program, builds on popular offerings from previous years and is now presented exclusively by Financial Affairs.

Designed to strengthen financial understanding across the university, the program provides an overview of core topics including general ledger functions, financial reporting, tax and foundation considerations, procurement, inventory management and other essential areas that support effective fiscal management. Sessions are structured to support both new and experienced employees seeking to deepen their financial operations knowledge. All sessions must be attended to receive a certificate.

This year's program will take place across four consecutive Tuesdays in April, with all sessions held in person at Uptown Campus West, 1001 E. Sain St., Fayetteville.

  • Tuesday, April 7 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 14 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 21 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 28 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Registration

Those who have not previously attended the Accounting Certificate Program will have enrollment priority. Employees can enroll on Workday or by searching "Financial Foundations Instructor-Led Training" under Workday Learning.
