Zero Hour Arkansas and Campus Climate Network Host Weekend Social Justice Organizing Training
The Zero Hour Arkansas RSO invites you to attend our weekend of training on "How to Strengthen Our Collective Movement Locally"!
The training will be held Nov. 8 and 9 in the Multicultural Center Classroom in the Arkansas Union and is hosted by Zero Hour Arkansas (ZHA) and Campus Climate Network (CCN) to support the Sudents for an Equitable and Livable Future (SELF) Campaign.
CCN is a national organization that trains students how to run campus campaigns, take political action on campus and much more about the intricacies of organizing.
ZHA is a youth- and student-led social justice organization dedicated to intersectional climate justice. Its mission is to advocate for nature and society, highlighting marginalized groups by fostering discussions and action about climate issues and amplifying underrepresented voices. We organize to secure an equitable and livable future for young people and our community. We believe everyone must have access to essential resources, environment and community.
SELF is a student-powered movement at the U of A trying to make real change for an equitable and livable campus and community.
This training weekend will tackle how to strategically take action, build a coalition and stay connected to the broader movement against oppression.
To be an activist and organizer means to be grounded in the shared context of where we have come from collectively and the immense violence of our past. With this and harm reduction in mind, we do what we can for justice, equity and a livable future.
Come to this training about finding and building our power and expanding our coalition!
