Faculty Can Register Now for Spring Workshops
Chieko Hara

U of A faculty are invited to register for the Mentoring Graduate Students Workshop and the Bridge Mentoring Program Workshop series during the spring 2026 semester. These Faculty Affairs initiatives are designed to support the success of all U of A faculty and those who are new to the university, respectively.

The Mentoring Graduate Students Workshop series discusses best practices and offers guidance on how to supervise, inspire, support and professionally develop your graduate student mentees. This eight-session workshop series allows faculty to develop a mentoring philosophy, experiment with various methods of mentoring and discuss mentoring challenges and successes with peers. Participants must attend all eight sessions. Faculty can register by completing this form by Nov. 14.

The Bridge Program assists new faculty as they transition to the U of A, providing mentorship and onboarding resources using best practices and an innovative and comprehensive teams-based approach. The program also allows new faculty to network with their peers across other departments and colleges. Faculty who would like to participate in the Bridge Program can indicate their interest by completing this form by Nov. 14. Space is limited, and priority enrollment will be given to those able to attend all six sessions. Selected participants will be informed by Dec. 5.

For more information about these workshops, contact Faculty Affairs at facdev@uark.edu.
