The University of Arkansas Global Campus will host its fifth "Better Learning Together" (BLT) Conference on Wednesday, Oct. 29, offering a full day of learning and collaboration for U of A educators. This virtual event aims to bring together faculty and staff to explore innovative ideas, share expertise and enhance learning strategies.

Running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the conference will feature a series of 60-minute Teams sessions and panels designed for program coordinators, instructors and those interested in integrating online tools and strategies into traditional face-to-face or online courses. Attendees can select from a range of sessions tailored to meet their specific needs. To register for any of the sessions, view the schedule online. 

The BLT Conference will focus on critical topics such as improving online course design, fostering student and faculty engagement and utilizing technology, media and AI to create more dynamic learning environments. Sessions will also cover proven techniques from peer educators and insights gathered from academic departments, national organizations and industry leaders. Global Campus staff will present best practices that can be applied across a variety of educational settings.

The day will kick off at 9 a.m. with an official welcome from Cheryl Murphy, vice provost for distance education, followed by a Faculty Panel where experienced educators will share their approaches to teaching and explore common challenges in face-to-face and online classes. Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Global Campus teams that support U of A's distance education initiatives. These include the Online Student Liaison Office, as well as teams specializing in compliance, technology support, media production and instructional design.
