Need help with your research? Not sure where to get started? The Razorback Researcher seminar series is for you! Hosted by the University Libraries, this series of virtual, in-person and hybrid seminars will explore research basics, how to efficiently use specific resources, citation management and more. All sessions are offered at no cost to attendees.
Library 101
All are welcome to attend Library 101 to learn about library locations and services, including course reserves, computing and printing, My Library Account, remote access, subject librarians, research guides, study rooms, instructional videos, Special Collections, Interlibrary Loan, Ask Us, FAQs, search basics and more with librarian Molly Boyd. Three hybrid sessions will be held from 4-5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11; 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, and 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, in MULN 439 and on Zoom.
EndNote Web Instruction: Bibliographic Citation Manager
In these virtual sessions, attendees will learn how to manage citations using the EndNote Web citation manager. Topics covered include exporting references from various databases, importing references into EndNote Web and formatting them to automatically create a bibliography, and using saved references to 'Cite While You Write' and produce a formatted term paper, thesis or dissertation. Sessions will be offered from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 10:15-11:05 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 10:45-11:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, and 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.
OneSearch Basics
OneSearch is the main portal for discovering the resources available through the University of Arkansas Libraries. These hybrid sessions will teach participants about the key features of OneSearch and help them find books, articles and any other resources more quickly and easily. Sessions will be offered from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, and 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27 in MULN 439 and on Zoom.
