U of A's Supply Chain Department Ranked Top 5 for Empirical Research

The J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management was ranked No. 5 in empirical supply chain research by The SCM Journal List.
For the sixth straight year, the J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management at the U of A was ranked No. 5 in empirical supply chain research by The SCM Journal List.
The SCM Journal List is an annual ranking of universities' supply chain management research worldwide published in eight top-tier industry journals over the prior five years. The list, which reviews both analytical and empirical arenas, is endorsed by 422 scholars globally.
"Our faculty are some of the best researchers in the world, as highlighted by this independent analysis of the top supply chain publications," said Brian Fugate, associate dean for graduate programs and research at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. "I am proud of our team - their work is undeniable. Their contributions, combined with our relevant curriculum, position Walton College among the top supply chain programs globally."
The Walton College department is ranked No. 5, behind Michigan State University, Arizona State University, University of Tennessee and The Ohio State University. The department also boasts the No. 1 ranking in North America for its undergraduate supply chain program and the No. 2 ranking in North America for its graduate supply chain program by leading global research firm Gartner.
