Rain may have drizzled on the Sam M. Walton College of Business' 2025 Spring Business Career Fair, but it didn't dampen student enthusiasm. Over 1,300 students passed through Bud Walton Arena at the U of A, connecting with 113 companies from around the country. The event drew industry giants like ArcBest, The Hershey Company and Dillard's Inc., alongside innovative startups seeking fresh talent.

Companies offered everything from summer internships to full-time gigs, giving students at every stage of their academic journey something to explore. The best part? Many employers held interviews on campus the very next day, with multiple students scoring job offers on the spot.

Walton College students came with their A-game, planning for weeks prior with services provided through the Career Connections Office. All that preparation paid off tenfold. Students who took advantage of resume reviews, practiced their pitches with visiting recruiters and even got help choosing professional outfits at Walton's Career Closet showed up with real confidence. They made strong eye contact, introduced themselves smoothly and walked away with what matters most — business cards and interview opportunities.

"The Career Center gave me great feedback on my resume during a virtual session. With so many sessions available, finding one that fit my schedule was easy. I got to meet one-on-one with a recruiter who shared helpful advice to get my resume career-fair ready," said Walton College senior Halle Hayward.

For many Walton seniors, this represented their final college career fair — a valuable opportunity to secure that dream position before graduation. For freshmen and sophomores, it offered a glimpse into the professional world that awaits them.

"This spring's career fair was a great opportunity for our students to connect with employers, explore career paths and gain valuable insights into the workforce," said Lindsey Steiger-Muck, senior director of career services at Walton. "Events like this strengthen the relationships between Walton College and our employer partners, ensuring students have access to meaningful opportunities that align with their skills and aspirations."
