Libraries Announce Razorback Researcher Sessions for January
Need help with your research? Not sure where to get started? The Razorback Researcher Seminar Series is for you! Hosted by the University Libraries, this series of virtual, in-person and hybrid seminars will explore research basics, how to efficiently use specific resources, and more. All sessions are offered at no cost to attendees. Instructions for joining virtual sessions will be sent to all who register using the links below.
Library 101
All are welcome to learn about the locations of the five campus libraries as well as the services they offer, including course reserves, computing and printing, My Library Account, remote access, subject librarians, research guides, study rooms, instructional videos, Special Collections, Interlibrary Loan, Ask Us, frequently asked questions and search basics. A hybrid session will be offered from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, in MULN 439 and online.
OneSearch Basics
Attendees will learn about the basics of the Libraries' OneSearch, including keywords, limiters, saving searches, requesting, finding special formats and more. Hybrid sessions will be offered from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15; 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21; and 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 in MULN 439 and online.
Mastering the Lit Review
Completing a literature review for your midterm/final? Starting the second chapter of your dissertation? This virtual workshop is for you! Learn about the lit review process and how the library can support you from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.
PICO & Other Question Frameworks
This session will offer an introduction to the PICO framework and other question frameworks for research in the health sciences (especially nursing, public health, and exercise science). Virtual sessions will be offered from 9-10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24 and from 3-4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27.
Evidence Synthesis Basics
Come learn about the basics of evidence synthesis for all disciplines from beginning to finish from a librarian! This virtual session will be offered from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
