Cadi Stair Joins Fulbright College as Assistant Director of Development
Cadi Stair has joined the Division of Advancement as assistant director of development for the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. Stair joined the Advancement Division most recently from the Walton Honors Program in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, where she has served as assistant director since May 2023.
"We are proud to have Cadi Stair join the Advancement Division to support the philanthropic priorities of Fulbright College," said Scott Varady, vice chancellor for advancement. "As a recent graduate, Cadi brings great perspective and enthusiasm for the university's mission and is a proven advocate for student success through her previous roles in Walton College. She joins an outstanding team, and we are confident in what they will achieve together for the college."
As assistant director of development, Stair will support Fulbright College's philanthropic objectives, assisting with the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential benefactors. The development team is responsible for the strategic execution of fundraising initiatives that support university and college priorities and achieve the college's fundraising goals.
"We are pleased and excited to welcome Cadi to our team of excellent development professionals who are diligently working to raise funds on behalf of Fulbright College," said Brian E. Raines, dean of Fulbright College. "The work Cadi and her team are doing will transform lives by creating more opportunity, access and success for our students, as well as by supporting vital research across all disciplines of the college."
Stair brings experience in communications, recruitment, retention and outreach to the team. As assistant director of the Walton Honors Program in the Walton College, she coordinated communications and organized events for alumni, faculty and students; supported thesis research; and supervised a peer mentor program. Stair is a passionate advocate for student success and has committed her early career to improving the student experience at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Stair began her new role on Nov. 4.
"Cadi's passion, commitment and dedication to our students shines through in all she's accomplished already at the U of A, and to now have her bring this drive and her skills to Fulbright College is such a gift," said Becca Bradley, senior director of development for Fulbright College. "Cadi is an alumna of the college as well, so she understands first-hand what a special place it is and what a big difference she and our team can make on its behalf."
Stair has been with the university since graduating in 2021. She began as a graduate assistant in the undergraduate programs office for the Sam M. Walton College of Business. During that time, Stair also served as a graduate tutor for Walton College and a recruitment and program intern for the College of Education and Health Professions. Prior to that, Stair interned in the Career Studio in the Office of Career Connections and served as vice president of The Higher Education Organization on campus.
