Forum for Fourth School of Law Dean Candidate to Be Held Today, Nov. 2

The fourth dean candidate for the School of Law, Ned Snow, will hold an open forum for the campus community at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 2, in E.J. Ball Courtroom in the School of Law.

During the open forum, Snow will focus on the strengths and opportunities he sees for the School of Law. Additionally, Snow will highlight past experiences that have prepared him for this position, offer thoughts and commentary on trends in legal education and research, and provide insight on how he will advance the School of Law's vision for the future. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

A recording will be available within 24 hours following the presentation at this link for those who are unable to attend in person. The recording will only be accessible to individuals with a University of Arkansas email address and credentials.

U of A faculty and staff can provide their feedback on the fourth dean candidate by completing an evaluation form. The deadline to submit feedback is 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6.

About Ned Snow

Since 2021, Snow has served as associate dean for faculty development and scholarship at the University of South Carolina School of Law where he holds the Ray Taylor Fair Professorship in Law.

Snow's research focuses on the intersection of morality, intellectual property, and the Constitution.

Prior to his current appointment, Snow served as associate dean for research and faculty development at the University of Arkansas School of Law from July to December of 2011. He held faculty appointments at the University of Arkansas School of Law and Brigham Young University Law School before joining the University of South Carolina law faculty in 2012.

Snow holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and economics from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
