UAPB Game Week Events Continue in Central Arkansas

Helping all Arkansas students access higher education is the primary goal of a series of events scheduled in Central Arkansas this week, leading up to the first football game between the U of A and University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff. Before the Razorbacks and Golden Lions meet at Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 23, members of both university communities have multiple opportunities to come together in support of shared goals.

"By coming together through both work and play, we create stronger and more accessible pathways to higher education for all students in Arkansas," said Yvette Murphy-Erby, vice chancellor of diversity, equity and inclusion at the U of A. "With our friends and colleagues at our fellow land-grant institution, we are proud to collaborate on unifying weeks such as this."

“As we prepare for the inaugural matchup between the Razorbacks and the Golden Lions on the football field, we also celebrate our shared vision for diversity, equity and inclusion within the University of Arkansas System and throughout our state,” Hunter Yurachek, vice chancellor and director of athletics said. “We are excited that the football game at War Memorial Stadium can serve as the culmination to this meaningful week.”
