Campus Invited to Panel Discussion Focused on COVID-19 Response

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The campus community is invited to attend a virtual panel discussion addressing the university's spring response to COVID-19 including the latest on the vaccination rollout, and an overview of how the pandemic may impact summer and fall planning, among other topics.

Register now for the Spring COVID-19 Response and Beyond Panel Discussion, set for 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Anyone with a University of Arkansas email address is encouraged to register, and you can submit a suggested topic or question when you do so.

"We know there are lots of questions and concerns out there and we are trying to address them as quickly and systematically as possible," said Chancellor Joe Steinmetz. "This is a great way to get a lot of information at once, so please consider joining."  

Provost Charles Robinson will facilitate a conversation among panelists that includes: 

  • Terry Martin, senior vice provost for Academic Affairs 
  • Huda Sharaf, medical director of the Pat Walker Health Center  
  • Flo Johnson, assistant vice chancellor for university housing 
  • Melissa Harwood-Rom, dean of students 
  • Steve Krogull, associate vice chancellor for university information technology 
  • Matt Mills, director for U of A Emergency Management

The panel discussion is a part of a series of events regarding the university's COVID-19 Response and other discussions will be scheduled as needed throughout the semester.
