Razorback Transit will go on a limited schedule starting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 19.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback Transit will limit bus service leading up to spring break and increase other precautionary measures to support the health and safety of passengers due to the recent move by the University of Arkansas to primarily remote operations and confirmation of the first presumptive positive coronavirus case in Northwest Arkansas.

Beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19, Razorback Transit will transition to a schedule that closely resembles the normal schedule provided on Saturdays during regular operations.

Only seven routes will be available. The frequency will be reduced for routes 13, 21, 33, 35, 44 and 48. Route 26 will continue its normal frequency.

Please check transit.uark.edu and Passio Go! for updated schedules.

For riders with questions about on-demand transportation today, March 19, the Razorback Transit staff will be available until 11 p.m. Passengers may phone 479-575-RIDE (7433).

An extra emphasis is also being made to promote social distancing in an effort to protect both passengers and drivers. Passengers who have limited mobility and those who need to use the ADA ramp will need to enter at the front door and be seated in the front half of the bus.

Other passengers will need to enter and exit at the rear door only, and they are urged to be seated in the rear half of the bus while keeping as much distance as possible between one other.

For the immediate future, Razorback Transit will continue to emphasize these guidelines and will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Razorback Transit will operate on a limited basis during most of spring break week but will not be in operation on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. As always, there will be no bus service on Sundays.
