For more than 20 years, Enrollment Services staff at the U of A have raised money through an office "jeans day" tradition to support local charities during the holiday season. In 2025, staff gathered more than $2,300 in toys and household goods for EOA Children's House, along with enough detergent to complete more than 5,000 cycles of laundry.

"Children's House has long supported families in our community," said Suzanne McCray, vice provost of Enrollment Services and dean of admissions. "Our Enrollment Services team is always grateful for the chance to contribute to that work. It's a long-lived part of our holiday traditions here and one we love to celebrate."

Founded in 1978, EOA Children's House provides services and support to children under the age of five who have faced abuse, neglect or other adverse experiences. The organization is one of the nation's largest long-term centers for early childhood abuse prevention and treatment, and the only center of its kind in Arkansas.

"We are grateful to University of Arkansas Enrollment Services for providing toys for our children and laundry detergent for our families in need. This generosity brings both joy and relief during the holiday season, making a meaningful difference for the families we serve," said Megan Cuddy, director of advancement for Children's House. "Many of the families that EOA Children's House serves live below poverty level. They are struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table, which doesn't leave extra for holiday gifts. EOA Children's House is so very thankful for this support."
