Social media Topic of Walton Lunch and Learn Event

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Harnessing social media for marketing purposes will be the topic of the latest “Lunch and Learn” event hosted by the Sam M. Walton College of Business.

The luncheon, titled, “A Primer on Influencer Marketing and the Impact of Social Media Marketing,” is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at the University of Arkansas Global Campus facility in Rogers. The cost is $50 per person.

The featured speakers will be Randy Hurban, chief executive officer of the Northwest Arkansas-based brand agency Moxy Ox, and Jasmine Banks, a small business owner who has experience in blogging and marketing.

The session will provide an overview on:

  • How to harness the power of social media influencers
  • How to create the brand amplification and engagement that results in quality long-term relationships and conversion
  • How to evaluate which social media platforms are appropriate for your brand

Hurban has experience in pharmaceutical marketing and organizational management. As the CEO of Moxy Ox, he leads a small agency in finding innovative solutions for local and national brands and businesses.

With a strong background in psychology, content marketing, and writing, Banks harnesses the power of relationships to help brands achieve visibility online and accomplish their goals.
