New Official Email Announced for Faculty and Staff

IT Services announces Microsoft Exchange as the new official university integrated email and calendaring system for faculty and staff. Beginning immediately, all faculty and staff are licensed to use Exchange.

The move to Exchange offers new features for users, reduces costs and provides a technical infrastructure that improves email availability and protects data.

Some user features include:

  • Continuity between desktop, mobile, and web browser access
  • Increased quota to 1 GB minimum
  • Enhanced address book features
  • Immediate access to a global address list that includes all faculty, staff, and students
  • Ability to share calendars
  • Ability to view multiple calendars when scheduling meetings
  • Ability to schedule resources such as conference rooms
  • Increased email security
  • Improved anti-spam and filtering options
