Global Campus Offers Computer Training Classes to Enhance Microsoft Application Skills
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is now open for one-day computer classes for Microsoft applications offered through the Global Campus in Fayetteville, beginning Friday, Jan. 6.
Mike Sypult, coordinator of computer training, and instructor Starlyn Danley will teach 16 classes in Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word, both for beginners and experts who want to enhance their skills. Classes will be offered at the Global Campus (School of Continuing Education and Academic Outreach), 2 E. Center St., on the downtown Fayetteville square.
“The University of Arkansas Global Campus computer training network added Microsoft Outlook, Publisher and Word classes to its class lineup to meet the needs of today’s businesses,” Sypult said. “What makes our training classes stand out from other services is our attention to individual students and our dedication to quality and convenience.”
The Global Campus will offer twice as many computer training courses in the spring semester as were offered in fall to meet clients’ needs.
Sypult and Danley, both Microsoft-certified instructors, will provide hands-on, instructor-led training courses that maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio. Participants will use Microsoft Office specialist-approved courseware. The cost is $159 per class, but University of Arkansas faculty and staff pay only $99 per class. Seating is limited, and continuing education units are available.
