Care Foundation Awards $20,000 to 'See Change' Nonprofit Management Certificate Program

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – See Change, the region’s first nonprofit management certificate program, received a $20,000 grant from Care Foundation Inc.

The Care Foundation grant will, in part, underwrite the training costs for nonprofit managers whose organizations need financial support to participate in the See Change program.

In March 2011, See Change launched its first six-month, innovative and high-quality program that offers integrated training and management certification for middle and senior level nonprofit managers. Future rounds of trainings are also planned.

The instructional team consists of Bruce Johanson of the Johanson Group, Denise McNerney of iBossWell, Inc and Blake Woolsey of Mitchell Communications. Margaret Reid of the University of Arkansas is the See Change program director.

Care Foundation Inc. is based in Springdale and is the supporting foundation to the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation. In the past 10 years, Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation has invested over $60 million in the Northwest Arkansas community. Strategic investments are primarily in the areas of education, health, immigration and capacity building for nonprofits.
