The U of A Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (OEI) is inviting the public to attend its inaugural Made@UofA Week, a capstone event highlighting campus entrepreneurship and innovation.
"Made@UofA Week is an opportunity to celebrate the work our students have been doing all semester to build businesses, test ideas and move their ventures forward," said Erika Talley, OEI's entrepreneurship program manager.
"This showcase brings together students from across campus who are exploring entrepreneurship at different stages, and throughout the week, we're excited to welcome the community to several events where they can meet our students, hear their stories and see what they're building at the University of Arkansas."
Made@UofA Week kicks off Tuesday, April 14, and runs through Saturday, April 18.
The week will end with a pitch competition showcasing student ventures and highlight the progress they made during the spring semester.
Selected students will pitch in one of two tracks: Small Business & Side Hustles or Tech-Enabled & High Growth, for a chance to compete for an $8,000 prize pool. Each team will deliver a five-minute pitch followed by a five-minute Q&A with judges.
The week will conclude with a startup expo on Saturday, April 18, at the SEC Club inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
