Youth Mental Health First Aid Certifications for Arkansas Community Members!

Register for free Youth Mental Health First Aid training hosted by the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation at the University of Arkansas.

Training to become a certified Mental Health First Aider will be available in-person on March 11th at 3:30 pm. Community members are encouraged to join and share our free training opportunities. Build your resume, improve your leadership potential, and most importantly acquire the skills necessary to address the mental health and substance-related issues impacting our friends, families, and communities.

The National Council describes Youth Mental Health First Aid as an evidence-based, early-intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges. This is a great opportunity for leadership and advocacy.

The Southern Alliance for Youth Mental Health is a collaborative initiative between the University of Arkansas, University of Mississippi, and University of Alabama. This effort is funded by a grant awarded by the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

To register or for any questions please reach out to Zach Moody at zemoody@uark.edu or Guadalupe Alvarado at  ga013@uark.edu and share this valuable opportunity to make a difference with your networks.
