Incoming students can prepare for the first football game of the season by learning all the U of A traditions at the New Student Pep Rally on Sunday, Aug. 17, at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the event starts at 8:30 p.m. All incoming students are invited and encouraged to attend. Free rally towels and water bottles will be given out (while supplies last) to students in attendance.

The pep rally will also be streamed live on the Division of Student Affairs Instagram account, @uarkstudents.

Recognized as the "Best Campus Tradition" by the National Association of Campus Activities, the New Student Pep Rally gives students the chance to learn all the U of A traditions: the Fight Song, the cheers and most importantly, how to call the Hogs. The pep rally ends with the Class of 2029 walking onto the football field to have their picture taken in the shape of a giant "A."
