U of A Student Employee of the Year Winner Announced

The Student Employment team in the Offices of Career Connections wishes to congratulate the University of Arkansas Student Employee of the Year winner, Cal Nava-Robinson.

Nava-Robinson is a project manager intern at the World Trade Center Arkansas. In his role, Nava-Robinson has consistently shared ideas, offered suggestions to improve processes, and identified new technologies to streamline workflows. Some of his notable accomplishments while in this position include, but are not limited to:  

• Redesigning the website framework and visual layout  

• Developing marketing strategy materials including producing and editing video content 

• Leading the update of the World Trade Center export directory, collaborating with the Secretary of State, and supporting the creation of letters and narratives for companies participating in campaigns.  

• Collaborating with the Senator's office to coordinate, edit, and publish a marketing video for the World Trade Center. 

In addition, we would like to recognize the Student Employee of the Month winners for the 2024-25 academic year:  

• August 2024 — Miles Nantze — undergraduate teaching assistant in the Department of Industrial Engineering 

• September 2024 — Abigail Masters — COEHP Honors peer mentor & SSC Welcome Desk support 

• October 2024 — Enrique Nava-Robinson — project manager intern at World Trade Center Arkansas  

• November 2024 — Joseph Bailey Rivers — call center agent in the Office of Financial Aid and Academic Scholarships 

• December 2024 — Riley Kelley — event production assistant in the Arkansas Union  

• January 2025 — Chase Barney — UREC sports supervisor and UREC sports official 

• February 2025 — Xavier Taylor Rouse — career peer mentor in the Offices of Career Connections Career Studio 

• March 2025 — Austin Bounsavy — data analyst intern in Engineering Career Connections

The Student Employee of the Month Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate student employees who have demonstrated exemplary performance, dedication, and impact. Each month nominations are accepted, reviewed by a committee, and a winner is selected. From these monthly winners, a Student Employee of the Year Award winner is selected.
