GPSC Elects 2025-26 GPSC Executive Council and At-Large Representatives

Graduate students have elected their executive Graduate and Professional Student Congress officials for the 2025-26 academic year. Next year's GPSC executive committee includes:

  • Erik Breidinger, a geosciences Ph.D. student, who will serve as the 2025-26 graduate student body president.
  • Md Rashedul Hasan, a industrial engineering Ph.D. student, who will serve as the 2025-26 graduate student body vice president
  • Kylie Lovett, a Ph.D. student in health, human performance and recreation, who will serve as the 2025-26 graduate student treasurer.
  • Domingo Antonio Feliz Carela, pursuing a master's degree of public administration, who will serve as the 2025-26 graduate student secretary.

In addition, two individuals were elected to serve on the 2025-26 GPSC Executive Council and Judiciary:

  • Sarah Shelby, an animal science Ph.D. student, was elected by the graduate student body to serve as chief justice for 2025-26
  • Jean Morales Orocu, a materials science and engineering Ph.D. student, who was elected internally by GPSC Assembly members to serve on the Executive Council as president pro-tempore for 2025-26

In the general election, students also had the opportunity to select At-Large Representatives to represent their specific colleges. The 2025-26 are:

Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences  

  • Saydul Md Safwa
  • Akwasi Tagoe
  • Sumanjot Kaur

College of Education and Health Professions

  • Henry Obajaja

Sam M. Walton College of Business

  • John Thames 

College of Engineering

  • Darlington Ehijie Imhanzuaria

  • Damilola Fadipe

Graduate School and International Education

  • Jean Morales Orocu

At-Large Representative seats not filled in this election will be filled as at-large seats during the fall 2025 GPSC DSO and At-Large Representatives Election.

In the general election, the graduate student body also voted in favor of passing a referendum to support the Graduate Student Activity Fee being increased with the end goal of the fee being $3.01 per credit by the beginnning of fall 2028.

General elections were conducted on April 15-17 with a subsequent run-off election April 22-25. On April 26, the GPSC elections chair certified the results of the election and announced the results on April 26.
