Don't want to haul your bicycle home for the summer? Not sure what to do with it? Don't leave it to rust on the rack! The Office for Sustainability is partnering with University Housing to host this semester's Spring Bike Drive.

For many students, bicycles are more than just a mode of transportation, they're an essential part of the campus experience at the U of A. Bikes offer the freedom to zip across campus, explore the vibrant Northwest Arkansas community and venture beyond, all while keeping costs low, spirits high and sustainability in focus.

In recent years, Northwest Arkansas has become more bike friendly than ever. In 2019, the U of A earned a gold Bicycle Friendly University designation by the League of American Bicyclists. Not long after, the City of Fayetteville was also recognized by the league as a gold Bike Friendly Community. These accolades reflect Fayetteville's commitment to fostering safe, accessible and bike-friendly environments for bicyclists of all ages and abilities.

By contributing to the Spring 2025 Bike Roundup, you can play a part to help keep this momentum rolling! Your gently used bike will provide incoming students with an affordable, sustainable way to navigate campus and beyond.

Ready to roundup? Follow these steps:

If you live in an on-campus residence hall

  1. Call (479) 575-3715 to schedule a pickup time.

If you do not live in an on-campus residence hall

  1. Bring your bike to 238 N. Harmon Ave. during office hours (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
