Join NAHJ for Churros, Soda During 2025 J-Days Celebration

NAHJ hosts freshly made churros and Mexican Coca-Cola noon-2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, second-floor patio of Kimpel Hall.
Join the National Association of Hispanic Journalists UARK student chapter at the U of A for freshly made churros and Mexican Coca-Cola noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, on the second-floor patio of Kimpel Hall.
Everyone is welcome — whether you're a journalism enthusiast, a lover of Hispanic culture or simply someone who enjoys good food and good company.
The RSO invites the U of A community to enjoy hand-crafted churros from Fayetteville-based Mo' Tacos and Churros. The company was founded as a small side hustle in 2015 and makes many of their foods in house.
NAHJ will serve these treats to conclude the School of Journalism and Strategic Media's J-Days, an annual celebration of the field of journalism to be held April 14-18, 2025.
Held in collaboration with the Lemke Journalism Alumni Society, the week will feature guest lectures by esteemed journalists and media professionals, the renowned Roy Reed lecture series, scholarship and award announcements, student social gatherings and opportunities to visit with alumni and employers.
Mark your calendars, gather your friends and come hungry for both knowledge and churros to celebrate the vibrant intersection of journalism and Hispanic heritage.

NAHJ is the largest organization of Latino journalists in the United States with more than 4,300 members, including working journalists, journalism students, other media-related professionals and journalism educators. Its mission is to increase the number of Latinos in the newsrooms and to work toward fair and accurate representation of Latinos in news media.
About J-Days: The School of Journalism and Strategic Media hosts its annual J-Days celebration in April. The week traditionally includes a scholarship reception, the Roy Reed lecture series, visits from esteemed professionals and alumni, student career and networking events and more. SJSM faculty host special lectures by journalists and strategic media professionals throughout the week. The event continues to expand and evolve since school founder Walter J. Lemke began the tradition in 1931 with a single J-Day.
