Stitching Love & Community: A Collective Quilt Project at the Multicultural Center
Join the Center for Community Engagement and the Multicultural Center for a meaningful and creative experience as we come together to craft a collective quilt celebrating the rich diversity and unity of our community. Whether you're an experienced crafter or have never sewn a stitch, this event welcomes everyone to participate and leave their mark on this collaborative art project.
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Feb. 13-14
Where: Multicultural Center, Arkansas Union 4th Floor
Why: Share your love for your community by contributing to a collective quilt!
Each participant will have the opportunity to design a fabric square that represents something meaningful to them — whether it's a symbol, a word, a pattern or an image that speaks to their connection to the community. All materials will be provided, and volunteers will be on hand to guide you through the process.
This is more than just a quilting activity; it's a chance to celebrate love, connection and creativity while contributing to a lasting piece of art that reflects our shared stories and values.
Special Display
After the quilt is completed, it will be displayed during the following week at the Envisioning Justice Conference, offering a powerful visual representation of community solidarity and a shared vision for justice.
Don't miss this opportunity to share your love, creativity and vision for the future. We can't wait to see what you'll create!
