Reminder: U of A Employee Holiday Schedule
Photo Submitted

The U of A's Fayetteville campus will be closed, except for essential operations, from Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. Five days during this period are official state holidays, while the other two days will require either leave or a supervisor-approved substitution (such as remote work or a flexed schedule).

Non-exempt employees in 12-month positions may work an additional 10.75 hours in December to avoid using annual leave. All employees, both exempt and non-exempt, should coordinate their holiday schedules with their supervisor or department leadership.

  • Any extra time worked after Dec. 13 will not accrue until Dec. 31 and will not be available to use for the closure dates.
  • New employees hired after their birthday or Veterans Day will need to use annual leave or a supervisor-approved substitution to be paid for Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
