The Russian Conversation Table "The Nose"
The Russian Conversation Table "The Nose" is an informal gathering for anyone interested in practicing speaking Russian and learning about Russian-speaking cultures.
"The Nose" will hold its last gathering of the semester from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the World Languages Studio, J.B. Hunt 207.
The group takes its name from Nikolay Gogol's story "The Nose" about a gentleman in St. Petersburg who wakes up and realizes that his nose is gone. The nose becomes an independent fully-fleshed character of much higher rank than its owner, and it does not wish to recognize him.
Please come with your nose!
