Nominations Open for College of Education and Health Professions 2025 Alumni Awards

Nominations are now open for the College of Education and Health Professions 2025 Alumni Awards.
Faculty, staff, students and friends of the college are invited to nominate alumni in five different award categories.
"We have so many outstanding alumni who are making a difference in people's lives through research, teaching, leadership, philanthropy and public service," said Dean Kate Mamiseishvili. "We can't wait to see the accomplishments of all the nominees this year and to honor the best of the best at our spring banquet."
This year's deadline to nominate is Tuesday, Oct. 15.
There are five award categories:
Distinguished Career in Education Award
Awarded to a graduate who has demonstrated exceptional professional achievement and extraordinary distinction in the field of education.
Distinguished Career in Health Award
Awarded to a graduate who has demonstrated exceptional professional achievement and extraordinary distinction in the field of health.
Distinguished Public Service Award
Awarded to a graduate who has fostered a caring culture and improved people's lives through civic engagement, community service and volunteer efforts.
Emerging Leader in Education Award
Awarded to a graduate who has demonstrated early career distinction and shows promise for future professional success in education.
Emerging Leader in Health Award
Awarded to a graduate who has demonstrated early career distinction and shows promise for future professional success in health.
The Alumni Awards Committee and Mamiseishvili will select the award recipients. Nominations are kept in a pool for two years. In March 2025, the winners will be recognized at a banquet. Alumni award winners from the college's six departments will also be honored at the event.
A nomination form is available online. Nominators are asked to provide a statement that illustrates why the nominee is deserving of the award and upload any of the following supporting materials: a CV or resume, up to two letters of recommendation, articles or stories that speak to the nominee's accomplishments or any other materials that can help the committee in the selection process. At least one supporting documentation is required.
