Spring Business Career Fair Attracts More Than 1,200 Students
More than 1,200 students attended the recent business career fair earlier this month, held bi-annually by the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the U of A.
The spring event attracted 151 companies from all over the country, as students mingled with a wide array of employers, from industry giants like Walmart, General Mills and PepsiCo to dynamic startups. Understanding the unique career aspirations of our students, employers in attendance offered roles that ranged from full-time and part-time to co-op and internship positions.
One of the most noteworthy advantages for students attending the fair is the streamlined interview and hiring process. Many companies schedule on-campus interviews the day after the fair, providing students with a unique chance to impress and secure job offers promptly.
Walton College prepared students for success prior to the fair by offering resume reviews with industry experts, a workshop where students can practice their pitches with recruiters, a career fair pre-party and easy access to professional attire.
