Scholarship Application Period Open in Bumpers College, Help Desk Sessions Scheduled

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For U of A students in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, the scholarship application period for 2020-21 is open and there's a good chance applicants will receive an award.

For students with questions about scholarships or the application process, two help desk sessions have been scheduled to provide assistance.

The scholarship application period for next year opened on Jan. 1 and closes Feb. 15.

To support students, Experience Bumpers College: Scholarship Help Desk sessions are set for Friday, Jan. 31, 2-4 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 4, 11-1 p.m. in the AFLS Building atrium. Members of the college's Student Services group will be available to answer questions regarding academic resumes, quality submissions and FAFSA, and offer tips on applying for college and departmental scholarships.

Bumpers College offers approximately 500 scholarships each year worth more than $800,000. Each scholarship awarded is worth an average of approximately $1,500.

According to Heather Parks, Bumpers College project specialists for scholarships, development and external relations, more than 75 percent of students completing the application process received at least one scholarship last year.
