Annual Food Science Apple Butter Sale
The Food Science Club has been offering apple butter for sale to the campus, community and the public for over 20 years! Apple butter is made by the Food Science Department using locally grown apples. Proceeds from the sale go towards supporting the education and career development of food science students.
It may be purchased by the jar or by the case:
- 8 oz. jars — $4 per jar or $35 per case of 12 jars (limited quantity remaining)
- 16 oz. jars — $6 per jar or $50 per case of 12 jars
The apple butter may be purchased at the Food Science building Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Rooms N113 or N201.
The Food Science building is located on the U of A research farm, approximately 2 miles north of the main campus, at 2650 N. Young Avenue. From campus, go north on Garland Avenue, turn right (east) on Cassatt, then left (north) on Young Avenue. The Food Science Building is on the right. Please use the main entrance in the two-story part of the building. Parking is free.

Julie Buntin and Gabe Habash, the 2019-20 Walton Visiting Writers in Fiction, will give readings of their work at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.19th, in Gearhart Hall, 0026 on the U of A campus.
Voice students Dennese Adkins, Sophia Chiocco, Gloria Deveraux, Kyle Forehand, Ethan Godfrey, Mickel Gordon and Stacee Lyles qualified for national competition at Knoxville, Tennessee.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, the campus is invited to make some entertaining noise on the third and fourth floor of Mullins Library before they are closed for renovation.
Transit and Parking is taking the lead on a November and December food drive and is setting up sites on campus to collect items, starting on Monday, Nov. 18.
